In the second Nepal Super League (NSL), two newcomer teams, Jhapa Football Club and Birganj United Football Club, shared the points by playing a goalless draw.

Even though Jhapa was limited to ten players in the match at Dashrath Stadium, Birganj could not take advantage of it. When Yogesh Gurung left the field with a red card, Jhapa was reduced to ten players. However, the Jhapali team managed to draw with Birganj.

Birganj's captain and goalkeeper Deep Karki, who performed well in the match, was declared the man of the match. He received 30,000 cash and a trophy as an award.

After this result, Jhapa with 3 points from 4 games and Birganj with 2 points are at the bottom of the league table, eighth and ninth respectively. And both these teams are still winless.
