In the Dim Bahadur Gurung Memorial 2nd Sampurna Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament, defending champions youth sports and cultural family, Thutipipal, have made a winning start.
In the opening match at the Sampurna Sports Ground located in Tilottama Municipality-14, Supouli, the youth started victoriously by defeating Bardghat Municipality, Nawalparasi by 4-2 in a tie breaker.
Before that, both the teams played an exciting draw of 3-3 goals in the competitive match of the scheduled time. Towards the scheduled time, Saroj Darlami scored two goals and Anuj Gayre scored one goal for the youth. While Suraj Ale Magar scored two goals for Bardghat, Himal Gharti Magar scored one more goal.
Youngster Saroj Darlami was declared Man of the Match. He received 1,000 cash and a trophy as an award. Also, with this victory, Navayuva has also entered the quarterfinals. Publicity Coordinator Ravi Aryal said that the match on Sunday, Mangsir 10, will be played between the organizer Sampurna Yuva Club, Supauli and The Rising Yuva Club, Kanhari.
Before that, the competition was inaugurated by Jageshwar Devi Chaudhary, Deputy Mayor of Tilottama Municipality, Rupandehi, who was the chief guest.

A total of 16 teams participated in the tournament which was organized by Sampurna Youth Club, Tilottama-14, Supauli. Hem Pun informed that the final match will be held on the 24th of Mangsir.
