Miteri Club, hailing from Inaruwa, Sunsari, secured the last spot in the semi-finals of the 6th Prakashpur Challenge Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament.

In a thrilling fourth quarter-final match held on Tuesday, Miteri triumphed over Ramdhuni Adarsh Club of Ramdhuni, Sunsari, with a final score of 2-1, earning them a coveted spot in the semi-finals.

Komal Khawas and Bijay Urau made significant contributions to Miteri's victory by scoring crucial goals, while Sajan Rai managed to notch the only consolation goal for the Ramdhuni team. Komal Khawas of Miteri was recognized as the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.

The organizers have announced that the first semi-final, scheduled for Wednesday, October 24th, will feature a clash between Purvanchal APF from Pakli, Sunsari, and Panchkanya Football Club from Udaipur. The tournament's victor, generously sponsored by the Barahkshetra Municipal Sports Committee and co-sponsored by the Barahkshetra Municipality Ward No. 10 office, will be rewarded with a cash prize of 100,000 along with the prestigious title.

The runner-up will receive 50,000 in recognition of their performance. The grand finale of this football tournament, organized by Prakashpur Football Club in Barahkshetra-10, Pakashpur, Sunsari, is scheduled to take place on October 27th.
