Machhindra FC toiled hard to enter semifinals of 7th Rajarshi Janak cup football tournament in Sarlahi district.

Machhindra FC defeated hosts Bagmati club, Sarlahi 5-3 on penalties on Wednesday to enter last four.

Both teams played an exciting 1-1 draw in a regulation time. Raj Bhusal scored for BYC while Devendra Tamang leveled the score for MFC.

White Lions will now play against Far West XI in second semifinal match on Friday. Jawalakhel youth club will play against CMG Club Sankata in first semifinal match on Thursday.

Bagmati club & Bagmati municipality sports development committee are jointly organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of NRs 10 lakh.
