Jawalakhel Youth Club has entered semifinals of 7th Rajarshi Janak Cup in Sarlahi district.

JYC sidelined defending champs Piple youth club 3-2 in a tight match played at Santosh Shrestha memorial stadium on Sunday.

JYC skipper Simanta Thapa became the player of the match and received NRs 10,000 cash and a football boot.

On Monday, Church Boys United will play against Far West XI in second quaterfinal match.

12 teams are taking part in the event, which has a winning purse of NRs 10 lakh. Runners up team will get NRs 5 lakh.

The MVP of the tournament will get NRS 51,000.
