Devendra Tamang played his hearts out to help Jhapa XI grind out 0-0 draw in regulation time against Ruslan TSC in the semifinal match of 3rd Jhapa gold cup.

Jhapa defeated Three Star 4-3 on PSO to enter finals. Goalie Kishor Giri blocked two magnificent saves. Tamang became the man of the match and he received Rs 25,000 cash.

Tamang said, "I feel great to see my team entering final for the first time in the season. Everybody worked hard in today's match against Three Star Club".

"I feel great to receive the man of the match but win is more important", he added.

Jhapa will play against the winner of Nepal Army and MMC in the final on Falgun 28.

"We will play our best to win the title", concluded Tamang.

Jhapa gold cup organizing committee is hosting the event, which has a winning purse of Rs 12,51,000.
