Hosts Jhapa XI breezed into finals beating Ruslan Three Star Club 4-3 on penalties in the first semifinal match of 3rd Jhapa Gold Cup at Domalal Rajbanshi stadium, Birtamod on Friday.

The match ended at goalless draw in the regulation time to force it to spot kick battle.

Devendra Tamang was declared the man of the match. He received twenty five thousand rupees.

Nepal Army Club will take on MMC in the second semifinal match tomorrow.

Jhapa XI: Kishor Giri(GK), Yogesh Gurung(C), Karna Limbu, Bishal Rai, Sumin Mainali, Dilan Loktam, Pujan Uperkoti, Khamir Gilson Kangdangwa, Bishwas Shrestha, Bhusan Subba, Devendra Tamang.

Final match is scheduled on Falgun 28.

Jhapa gold cup organizing committee is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 12,51,000.
