News Morang: Hosts Dangihat Into The Semifinals Of Belbari Invitational Gold Cup

Morang (GoalNepal) - Hosts Dangihat Youth Club, Morang have entered the semi-finals of the fifth edition of the Belbari Buddha Air International Invitational Gold Cup Football Tournament. In the tournament's first quarterfinal held on Thursday, Dangihat defeated Rolling Club, Jhapa 3-1 on penalties to make it to the semifinals.

The regulation time ended 0-0 and the match was sent to penalties. Simon Limbu, Kashim Rai and Abhishek Limbu scored for the hosts. Niraj Karki's shot could not take the direction of the post.

Similarly, only Ashish Chapagain scored for Rolling Club. Angel Gurung and Prashant Laksham hit wide. Dangihat goalkeeper Kishor Giri became an obstacle to Laken Limbu's shot.

Kishor Giri was adjudged the player of the match. He received Rs. 5,000 cash prize.

Salahesh Youth Club, Siraha and Avenir FC, Cameroon will face each other in the second quarterfinal tomorrow.

The winners of the tournament will receive a whopping eight lakh rupees while the runners-up will receive four lakh rupees. A total of ten teams, including three teams from abroad, are competing in the tournament.

The player of the tournament organized by Dangihat FC will receive Rs. 25,000 while the best defender, goalkeeper, midfielder, top scorer and rising player each will receive Rs. 15,000.
