Nepal U-15 Women's team head coach Bhagawati Rana Magar has said that Nepal are happy to participate in the SAFF U-15 Women's championship and will go for the title. Speaking at the press conference ahead of the tournament on Monday, Rana expressed the team's intentions to fight for the title.
"We have been training for four weeks. Every team is here to win the title and we are physically and mentally prepared for the tournament", said Rana.
Rana also added that the team is looking to take revenge for the SAFF Championship final loss for Nepal against Bangladesh.
However, Rana added that the weather could be an issue for Nepal. "This is the first international competition for the whole team. We are new but I believe we will play well. The hot weather might be tough on us", added Rana.
Nepal skipper Dipa Rokaya also said that the team is looking to win the tournament. "I am glad to be involved in the tournament and we are here to win", said Rokaya.
Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan are the only participants of the tournament starting tomorrow. Bhutan will take on hosts Bangladesh to kick start the tournament on Tuesday.
