News Rupandehi: Devdaha Boys Win The Sagarmatha Cup Title

Devdaha Boys have won the title of the first Everest Cup Knockout Football Tournament held in Rupandehi. Devdaha won the title by defeating Badganga Welfare Society, Kapilvastu 2-1 in the final at Sainamaina-11, Chisapani to win the title.

Tournament coordinator Ayush Bhusal informed that Devdaha, who became the winners, received Ra. 30,000 in cash along with the title, while the runners-up, Badganga, received Rs. 15,000. Similarly, Sandesh Thapa of Devdaha was awarded as the best player of the tournament. Coordinator Bhusal said that he received Rs. 3,000 cash along with a trophy.

The winning players were awarded by the chief guest; Sainamaina Municipality Mayor Fanindra Sharma, special guest Sainamaina-11 Ward President Ram Prasad Bhusal, organizers Everest Youth Club President Robin Sen and others.

At the closing ceremony, the chairman of the organizers, Robin Sen, said that the football tournament was organized with the aim of helping young players to get involved in sports. He also said that the competition will be organized with more grandeur in the coming days.

On the same occasion, various cultural programs were organized on the occasion of Teej, the great festival of women.
