Chennai City Stuns League Leaders Minerva Punjab FC In Hero I-League
Nepal number one goalie Kiran Chemjong is plying his trade with Minerva Punjab FC in Hero I-League.
His team suffered stunning 2-1 loss at the hands of tailender Chennai City in a very important match on Friday.
Soosairaj and Rakic scored apice for the winners. Bhutanese international Gyeltshen scored for Punjab.
Despite the loss, they are still on top with 32 points from 17 matches. NEROCA are in second with 31 points from same number of matches. East Bengal are in third with 29 points from 16 matches.
Minerva will play their last match of the league against Churchill Brothers on March 8. They will lift the title if they win the match.
