News Nepal Beats Mauritius In The Second 'Un-friendly' Match !

Nepal have beaten Mauritius with a solitary goal again in the second friendly at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu. In a match fuelled with physicality and red cards, Nepal came out victorious thanks to a Sujal Shrestha goal in the 10th minute of the match.

Nepal started well, with a lot of possession at the start of the match. Nepal were looking to play long balls with two wingers making runs on either wings.

Nepal finally managed to break the deadlock in the 10th minute of the match off a corner. The corner was cleared by the Mauritian defense which fell for Aashish Lama outside the box. His shot then fell at Sujal's feet inside the six-yard box and he tapped it in to give Nepal the lead.

Mauritius immediately got a chance to equalise through a penalty after Andy Sophie was fouled in the box. Andy Sophie then stepped up to take the spot-kick but Nepal no. 1 Kiran Chemjong saved the penalty. The penalty was guessed right by Kiran and he put his right hand to it and saved it to his right.

After the goal, Nepal still had the upper hand with a lot of possession in the first half but were wasteful with the ball in the final third. Mauritius also had had a fair share of chances at the other end but Kiran Chemjong made a few good saves to keep the score at 1-0 at the break.

In the second half, the story wasn't that different at the beginning. And then, the whole match started turning on its head. Chaos started on the field when two players of each side were red carded after altercations relating to a foul on Anjan Bista. Nepal's Pujan Uperkoti and Mauritius' Adrien Botlar were sent off.

Nepal goalkeeping coach Bikash Malla was also sent off after he entered the pitch and splashed a few words on the opposition.

Then in the 80th minute, second half substitute Emmanuel Foolchund was shown two yellows in quick succession and Mauritius were down to ten men for the final ten minutes of the match.

And during the final minutes of the match, problem in floodlights stopped the match But the match eventually ended after a lengthy pause and Nepal managed to get two victories in two against the African side.

Kiran Chemjong was adjudged the player of the match for his brilliant performance thanks to which Nepal made it two in two against Mauritius.
