News Itahari: Ward no. 6 and 10 In The Quarters

Wards 6 and 10 have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Itahari Football Running Cup Ward Level Knockout Football Tournament, which is currently underway.

In one of the two pre-quarterfinal matches played on Sunday, Ward No. 6 defeated Ward No. 14 3-0, while Ward No. 10 defeated Ward No. 7 2-1.

Nikesh Tamang scored two goals for Ward No. 6 in the 46th and 56th minutes of the first match at Itahari Regional Stadium. From the penalty spot, he scored the game's first goal. Nawal Tamang added another goal in the 53rd minute.

Man of the Match was Ramu Sardar of Ward No. 14, who lost the match. Narayan Prasad Acharya, a member of Itahari Municipality Ward No. 6, presented him with a mobile phone.

In the second match of the day, Ward No. 10 defeated Ward No. 7 2-1. Anuraj Chaudhary of Ward No. 10 scored the game's first goal in the 14th minute. When Raju Rai scored in the 41st minute, Ward No. 7 was able to come back into the game.

But in the 54th minute, Suresh Chaudhary scored the second and decisive goal for Ward No. 10 and played an important role in taking the team to the quarterfinals. Narayan Chaudhary of Ward No. 10 was declared Man of the Match.

The first game will be played between wards 9 and 3 on December 29 and the second game will be played between wards 18 and 20.

The winner of the competition organized by Itahari Football Club, Sunsari will get Rs. 50,000 rupees including the title and the runner-up will get Rs. 30,000.

The final of the tournament will be played on December 6.
