Bangladesh is struggling to host SAFF Championship 2021 in September in Dhaka due to rise in COVID cases and other reasons.

South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) body is under immense pressure to decide the fate of the event this year.

Nepal and Sri Lanka have come forward to host the event. ANFA looks more serious to host the event.

On Sunday, ANFA officials presented proposal to Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli. The PM gave green signal to ANFA to prepare for the event.

SAFF hasn't said anything about the venue change but if Nepal is given the hosting rights, it will do everything possible to make the event successful.

Logistic preparation
Logistically, ANFA is always ready to host any big event. The organization is experienced enough to handle logistics for the big event in a short notice.

Venue
Dasharath stadium is ready. It is in good shape. Good thing is that Pokhara stadium is almost ready. Nepal can push for the final touch at the stadium and must use both venues for the event. Matches can be played at day time in Pokhara as it doesn't have floodlights.

Practice grounds
Nepal now have better practice fields in Kathmandu valley. The fields are international standard. They are Chyasal stadium, Army HQ grounds and Police HQ grounds.

Government support
Nepal government has given its full support to ANFA to host the event.

Nepal hasn't won the SAFF title since its inception but it looks like the time has come and the nation should use all resources to make it successful.
