Hosts Bagmati municipality has entered semifinals of 5th Rajarshi Janak cup football tournament.

Bagmati defeated Nawa Jana Jagriti yuwa club, Simara 3-0 in the quarterfinal match played at Santosh Shrestha memorial grounds on Thursday.

Maxwell scored a brace while Stefen Samir scored one for the winners.

Skipper Bijaya Ghalan became the player of the match and received NRs 10,000 cash.

Bagmati municipality supporters jointly receive Khalti exciting fan of the match.

Bagmati club is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of NRs 10 lakh. Runners up team will get Nrs 5 lakh.

The MVP will get NRs 51,000 cash.
