Chitwan DFA is organizing late Bijaya Khadgi memorial gold cup football tournament from Chaitra 12 at Campachaur, Narayangadh, Chitwan.
DFA president Shree Krishna Karki said necessary preparation has been made for the event.
"We are organizing the event to support the family of late football player Bijaya Khadgi. We expect support from all so that we can give something to the family", said president Karki.
Bijaya Khadgi, ANFA academy product, had to go to Qatar for family necessities but lost his life at the age of 32.
The champions will get NRs 3 lakh and runners up team will get NRs 1,50,000, said DFA general secretary Ramhari Dhakal.
The estimated budget of the event is NRs 2.7M.
Ticket price
Fans have to pay NRs 50 for matches till quarterfinal and NRs 100 for semifinal and the final matches. One lucky winner will get smartphone everyday.
Meanwhile, adviser of Chitwan DFA Mr. Milan Bhattarai and his better half Sunita Neupane supported DFA with Nrs 3 lakh. They also pledged their support for the education expenses of the only child of late Khadgi.
