Himalayan Sherpa club has entered final of 3rd Bagmati gold cup football tournament.

Himalayan Sherpa defeated Chyasal youth club 2-1 in a tightly contested match played at Phaparbari mini football stadium on Friday.

Bijaya Shrestha scored both goals for the winners. Shrestha scored the opener in early 7th minute through spot.

Kazeem leveld the score for Chyasal in 45+1.

In the second half, both teams exchanged blows in frequent intervals but Bijaya Shrestha scored the match winner in 73rd minute.

Two goal hero Shrestha became the man of the match and received Nrs 5,000 cash.

In the second semifinal match to be played tomorrow, Jawalakhel youth club will meet Sankata club at 3 PM.

Bagmati rural municipality sports development committee is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of NRs 6 lakh.
