Former ANFA president Ganesh Thapa, who is suspended by FIFA for 10 years on corruption charges, is actively involved and he is manipulating ANFA district elections.
GoalNepal has received a solid proof in which Thapa is pressurizing one district club official not to vote for district president.
He clearly mentioned that he and his team from centre couldn't work with "that" official if he wins the district election.
It is very surprising why he is actively involved in district elections. However many believe that he is the one who is running ANFA despite being banned from FIFA.
His son, Gaurav Thapa, who received USD 1,00,000 from former AFC president Mohamed Bin Hammam, currently works at ANFA. Current president Narendra Shrestha and his cronies have never publicized his appointment at ANFA.
FIFA had clearly suspended former president Thapa for ten years barring him from taking part in sporting activities.
Public accounts commission in Nepal had accused him of embezzlement of Rs 58 crore at ANFA. CIAA has put his case on hold citing lack of evidence. He is currently practicing Nepalese politics.
ANFA affiliated districts are holding elections. Central ANFA election is scheduled on Chaitra 14, 2074.
ANFA VP Mani Kunwar, former ANFA CEO Indraman Tuladhar and former ANFA VP Karma Tsering Sherpa are expected to vie for the president post.
