Jhapa: Sainik Cup Kicks Off; New Star Khopbari Beats Birtamod United In The Opener

Sainik cup football championship got underway on Wednesday at Sainik Bazaar, Birtamod, Jhapa.

New Star Khopbari defeated Birtamod United 1-0 to enter semifinals.

Karan Rai scored the match winning goal and he became the man of the match.

Sainik youth club will meet Jalthal FC on Thursday.

Eight teams are participating in the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 1 lakh. Runners up team will get Rs 50,000.
