Makwanpur: Phaparbari Gold Cup Kicks Off

Phaparbari gold cup got underway at Bagmati rural municipality on Wednesday.

Bharatpur FC defeated hosts Bagmati rural municipality sports development committee 5-3 on penalties. Both teams played 1-1 draw in regulation time.

Earlier former PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal inaugurated the championship.

10 teams are participating in the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 3 lakh.

Rural municipality has separated Nrs 20 lakh for the tournament.
