Kathmandu:12th FECA Cup Kicks Off; Career Beats Highland In The Opener
12th FECA Cup inter school football championship kicked off in Kathmandu on Friday.
Defending champions Career academy defeated Highland school 2-0 in the opening match. Sabin Koirala and Jiwan Lama scored apiece for the winners. Rabin Khadka became the man of the match.
Earlier, Kageshowri mayor Krishnahari Thapa inaugurated the championship.
20 teams are participating in the event, which has a winning purse of Rs 20,000.
Runners up team will get Rs 15,000.
