1st Sagarmatha inter ward football championship got underway at Saptakoshi ground, Sunsari.

Ward number two defeated ward number 8 1-0 in the opening match.

Akash Rai scored the match winner. Roshan Giri became the man of the match.

Ward number 1 will play against ward number 6 on Tuesday.
