Annapurna daily has reported that Nepal coach Gyotuku Koji has overstayed in Nepal for “Nine days”.

Nepal immigration on Wednesday banned him from entering Nepal for a year.

Coach Koji is traveling with the national team today to Thailand and will lead the team to Indonesia for Asian Games 2018.

The daily also reported that Koji was working with out work permit.

It is very surprising why ANFA didn’t pay attention to his visa procedures. Why the coach was working without work permit?

Director general of immigration, Ishwor Raj Paudel confirmed that they had taken action against Koji.

“We have banned him from entering Nepal for a year”, Paudel was quoted as saying by the daily.

ANFA president Karma Tsering Sherpa said that work permit process was started on Wednesday.

Koji is with Nepal for two years and had won AFC Solidarity Cup in 2016.

It is not sure if Koji would continue with Nepal as coach after Asian Games 2018.
