Makwanpur: Madan Bhandari Memorial 7-A-Side Veterans Cup Kicks Off

Madan Bhandari memorial 7-A-Side veterans cup got underway in Hetauda on Thursday.
Hetauda veterans defeated Birgunj 3-2 on penalties in the opening match. Both teams played 0-0 draw in regulation time.
Bijaya Bajracharya became the man of the match and received Rs 3,000 cash.
Chapur veterans defeated Veteran city Birgunj on penalties to move to second round. Ghanshyam Shrestha became the man of the match and received Rs 3,000 cash.
Earlier academy president Binod Shrestha inaugurated the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 50,000.
