Jhapa: New Star Challenge Cup Kicks Off At Khopbari

New star challenge cup got underway on Saturday at Khopbaari, Jhapa.

Hosts New star club defeated Adarsha youth club, Budhabare 8-2 in the opening match. With the win, they entered semifinals.

Bijaya Rai and Sonu Limbu scored brace each while Ajay Rajbanshi, Sanjok Rai and Sanam Rai scored apiece for the winners.

Bikash Kattel and Umesh Limbu scored apiece for the losing side.

Sonu Limbu became the man of the match.

Eight teams are participating in the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 51,000.
