Kathmandu A has secured semifinal berth in Sexual and gender minorities National Futsal Championship.
On Friday, Kathamandu A defeated Eastern 2-1 and hammered Mid Western 6-0 to book its place in semis.
In other matches, Far Western won 1-0 over Kathmandu B, Western beat Mid Western 2-1, Kathmandu B registered 1-0 victory over Mid Western and Western played goalless draw with Eastern.
Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Sunar(Bishwakarma) inaugurated the two-day tournament on Friday.
The event organized by Nepal Sports Council is played at Dhanwantari Futsal.
A total of seven teams, five development regions and two teams from Kathmandu, are taking part in the tournament which has a winning purse of Rs.50,000. Runners-up and third place team will receive Rs.30,000 and Rs.20,000.
