Makwanpur District Football Association (DFA) is mourning the sudden and tragic loss of one of its esteemed referees, Akil Lal Shrestha, who passed away at the age of 40.
According to sources close to the family, Shrestha was rushed to the hospital following complaints of chest pain, where he tragically succumbed.
Tikaram Lama, Chairman of Makwanpur DFA, expressed profound sorrow over Shrestha's untimely demise, stating that the entire district's football activities have been halted to pay homage to the departed soul.
Shrestha leaves behind a grieving husband and a son, leaving a void not only in his family but also in the local football community where he was a respected figure.
His contributions to the sport and his presence on the field will be dearly missed. The football fraternity extends heartfelt condolences to Shrestha's family and loved ones during this difficult time.
