News Nawalparasi: Sahara Club, Pokhara Enters SFs

Sahara Club, Pokhara has become the last team to enter the semi-finals of Nawalparasi Gold Cup National Knockout Football Tournament.

In the fourth quarter-final held on Sunday, Sahara defeated Sudurpaschim-11 by 2 goals against zero and became the last team to enter the last four.

Sangam Thakuri scored in the 34th minute of the first half and Dipesh Elle in the 37th minute of the second half for Sahara in the match at the Shahid Smriti Stadium.

Sahara Kai Bhishan Gurung was declared Man of the Match. He received 5,000 cash and a trophy as an award.

Sahara will now compete against the host Rising Star Football Club in the second semi-final on June 22. Under the competition, the first semi-final match on Monday will be between Hanami BFC, Chitwan and Kohalpur Racing Sahara Club, match coordinator Sandip KC informed.

Dharmendra Agrahari, Secretary General of the Foundation, said that the winner of the competition organized by Rising Star Community Development Institute, Sunwal-12, Bhumahi, Nawalparasi will receive 511,000 cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 311,000. The final match will be held on 24th of Jestha.
