News Rupandehi: Lisnu Wins Title Of 2nd Evolution Cup

Former champions Lisnu Yuva Club, Kotihawa have won the second Evolution Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament title for the second time in a row.

In the final held on Thursday, Lisnu defeated Inter Sports Club, Butwal 3-1 and managed to defend the title.

Lisnu received a cash prize of Rs 1,05,555 along with the title, while Inter, the runner-up, got a trophy, medal and certificate with Rs 52,250. Lisnu's captain Biswas Thapa Magar was chosen as the Man of the Match for the final match.

In other categories, the best goalkeeper from Lisnu, Thapa Magar Banda, and the best defender, Ashish from Inter Sports, were re-elected. Anuj Gair of Inter was declared the best midfielder while Anish Maharjan of Lisnu was declared the best forward.

Similarly, when Inter's Avesh Shahi won the top scorer award, Lisnu's Kushal Bhandari became the best coach. Similarly, the best player of the tournament was Amos from Lisnu.

The winners and runners-up players were awarded by the Chief Guest Khelraj Pandey, Chief Guest of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, Lok Pun, Chairman of Rupandehi District Football Association, Ram Bahadur Pun, Chairman of Organizer Evolution Club of Butwal, Vice Chairman Yam Kumar Balal, Sports Coordinator Amar Thapa Magar and others.
