News APF Pakali Enters Final Of 4th Mills Gold Cup

The Armed Police Force (APF) of Sunsari Pakali has reached the finals of the 4th Mills Gold Cup football tournament held in Biratnagar.

In the match organized by Mills Gold Cup Trust on Wednesday, APF came close to the title by defeating Kankai Sporting Club of Jhapa Surunga in a tie breaker by 2-0 goals. After both teams tied 1-1 at the scheduled time, the match was decided by a tiebreaker.

Deepesh Dhimal and Hari Karki scored for APF in the tie breaker, while Ujjwal Chamling missed the goal. Jhapa's Anoj Magar, Sanjeev Rasaili, Rojan Dhimal and Mirak Limbu had to face the defeat as they could not score. Player of the match APF goalkeeper Suzan Bk received 3000. Since both teams had many opportunities to score in the game, they could not make use of them, so the game had to be decided by a tiebreaker.

In the 29th minute of the match, Mirak Limbu of Jhapa scored a goal and gave the team the lead. In the 60th minute, the Jhapa player scored a goal after fighting the APF player inside the D-box, and the match was tied. Hari Karki scored from the penalty awarded by APF.

As part of the competition, the final semi-final match on Thursday will be between Biratnagar's Pema Yuva Club and Biratnagar's Koshi Pradesh Police Office.
