
Dudhe Veteran Club, Jhapa made a resounding start to the fourth Birat Veteran Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament, defeating the visiting NRC Veteran team from Sikkim, India, by a commanding 6-1 scoreline in the tournament's inaugural match on Saturday.
The match, held at Sukuna Stadium in Sundarharaicha-10, saw Dudhe Veteran's relentless attack overpower the NRC Veteran defense. Hark Tamang of Dudhe Veteran played a crucial role in the victory and was named the Man of the Match for his stellar performance.
With this victory, Dudhe Veteran Club has secured a spot in the semi-finals of the competition.
The next match of the tournament will be played on Sunday, Magh 20, between Birat Veteran Club (B) and Urlabari Veteran Club, Morang.
The winner of this exciting tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs 1,01,111, along with the title, while the runner-up will be awarded a trophy, medal, certificate, and Rs 50,555. The tournament final is set for Magh 26.
