
Birtamod New Star Club, Jhapa became the last team to enter the semi-finals of the ongoing 7th Bharaul Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament here.
Towards the fourth quarter-final, Birtamod beat Nepal Police Club, Kathmandu 2-0 and made it to the last four. Khamir Gilson Kandangwa and Yami scored for Birtamod in the match. Yami was also elected the Man of the Match.
Under the competition, the first semi-final match on Tuesday 27th Chaitra will be played between Dharan Football Club, Sunsari and Planning Boys United, Kathmandu, informed the organizers.
Organized by New Star Club, Barahkshetra-5, Sunsari, the winner of the inaugural competition will receive a cash prize of 4 lakhs along with a title, while the runner-up will receive 2 lakhs. The final match will be held on the 30th of Chaitra.
