
The Morang District Football Association has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 24th Budhasubba Gold Cup by winning against the Nepal Police Club.
In the third quarter-final on Monday, Morang defeated Police 3-0 and secured a place in the last four. Umesh Karki, Mahendra Karki and Sushil Rai scored for Morang.
Umesh Karki of Morang was declared man of the match in the match. Under the competition, the fourth and final quarter final on Tuesday, February 29, will be held between Church Boys United and Kakarvitta Football Training Center, the organizers informed.
The winner of the tournament, organized by Dharan Football Club, Dharan, will receive a cash prize of 10 lakhs along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 5 lakhs. The final match will be held on 3rd of Chaitra.
