Tribhuvan Army Football Club has become the champion of Panchthar Gold Cup football tournament for the first time.
Army won the title by beating Panchthar club 4-2 in the final on Saturday.
Captain Deepkumar Lama, Padam Tamang and Santosh KC scored goals to give victory to the Army at the Phidim Ma Vi stadium. Captain Deep kumar Lama scored 2 goals in the victory of Army.
In the 31st minute, Padam Tamang, who was not under the supervision of anyone in the penalty box, shot the ball from the first bar, while the goalkeeper of Panchthar, Mirak Khajum, saved the ball.
In the 39th minute of the match, Ashish Chapagain scored a leveling goal utilizing a pass from Dinesh Sherma.
In the 7th minute of the second half, Prashant Laxam of Panchthar scored and gave Panchthar a 2-1 lead. However, Panchthar's lead could not last long. In the 53rd minute, Army's Santosh KC equalized the game by scoring through a free kick.
Deepkumar Lama of Army scored goals in the 61st minute and 69th minute to ensure the victory of Army.
Army's Padam Tamang was declared the man of the match in the final match and received 5,000 in cash. Best defender Basant Tamang of Army, best goalkeeper Nabin Tamang of Army, best midfielder Army Rupesh Chhetri, best coach Ardash Malla of Army were declared. All the best received the same 10,000.
Roshan Angdembe of Panchthar became the best player of the match. Manish Chhetri of Panchthar Club became the emerging player of the tournament. The best player and emerging player received 15,000 each.
Mumin Nembang became the fan of the match. Santosh Moktang, President of Panchthar Sports Development Committee, became the shootout hero. Both received Rs 2,500. 72-year-old Narendra Kumar Sambahamfe, who watched all the matches throughout the tournament, became the fan of the tournament and received 2,500 rupees.
The champions received NRs 5,05,000 while runners up team got NRs 2,55,000.
