Nepal had a bad start in SAFF U-16 Women's Championship 2024.

In their first match on Saturday, Nepal got off to a bad start by losing 0-2 to Bangladesh, the runners-up of the last edition.

In the victory of Bangladesh, Sourabh Akanda did not score in the 24th and 31st minutes of the game.

Nepal will play its next match against Bhutan on Monday. Similarly, Bangladesh will face India on Tuesday.

The top two teams will enter the finals after the league stage of the Sinhala round robin league. The final will be held on March 10.
