Makwanpur corresspondent of GoalNepal, Bikram Kumar Baniya has been honored with the 5th Sports Journalist of the Year Award 2080 in his hometown of Hetauda.

Baniya, who is active in the field of sports, especially in football journalism received the award on Saturday.

New Media Academy Pvt. Ltd. And power internatioal selected journalists from ten different categories & honored them with the award.

Baniya was honored with this award in the sports category. Along with the award, Baniya received a cash prize of 5,000 and a certificate.

Baniya, former player at the national level from the district, expressed his happiness after receiving the award.

Stating that he won this award due to his work, hard work and dedication, he also said that he will continue to work in the field of sports. He also expressed his gratitude and thanks to everyone, recalling the support, wishes and support of everyone to receive this award.

All the journalists who were honored in the program were awarded by the chief guest of the program, Meena Kumari Lama, Mayor of Hetaunda Sub-Metropolis, Deputy Mayor Rajesh Baniya, Surya Prasad Sedhai CDO of Makwanpur district.
