Gandaki Province has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 6th Rhino Conservation Gold Cup National Knockout Football Tournament in Nawalpur.
In the quarterfinals held on Friday, Gandaki stunned Machchindra Football Club 1-0 and entered the last four.
In the 25th minute of the match at Rhino Stadium, the only goal scored by Mukund Nyure became the decisive goal to take Gandaki to the last four. Gandaki's goalkeeper Akash Ranabhat was declared man of the match.
Under the tournament, the fourth and final quarterfinal match on Saturday will be played between 28 Bigaha Yuva Club, Kawasoti and Sankata Club, Kathmandu, informed the organizers.
The winner of the competition organized by Rhino Club, Madhyabindu (4), Nawalpur will get 8 lakhs in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will get 4 lakhs. The final draw will be held on the 9th of Falgun.
