Gauriganga Sports XI is organizingGauriganga gold cup 2080 from Falgun 19 at Gauriganga, Kailali.

The event is going to be held in Gauriganga Municipality-8 Likma of Kailali. It was informed at a press conference on Wednesday that the tournament will be held from Falgun 19th to 28th under the slogan of 'Foundation of Prosperity: The Foundation of Football'.

Dinesh Kalel, president of the club informed that the competition is being held to build a model stadium in the central area, to increase the activity of sports in the urban area, to create professional players and to encourage the youth to take part in sports.

10 teams from Far West Province will participate in the competition. The winner of the competition will get a trophy and medal along with 6 lakh. Similarly, the runner-up will get a trophy and medal of 3 lakh, said Dinesh Kalel, chairman of the organizer Gauriganga 11 Sports Club.

President Kalel informed that the best player will get 50,000, the best player of each category will get 15-15 thousand and the best player of each game will get 5,000. He informed that the preparations for the fourth edition of the game have started. Bhoj Bahadur Bam, deputy head of Gauriganga Municipality, said that the local government will provide all possible support for the development of sports. Various speakers gave congratulatory remarks at the press conference.

Asian Thai Foods is the main sponsor and Jagdamba Enterprises are co-sponsors. National Sports Council, Sudurpaschim Province Sports Council and Gauriganga Municipality will be the main promoters. Sougat Clinic will remain as a medical partner. All 11 wards of Gauriganga Municipality are the promoters. Kailali District Football Association, State Football Association and ANFA will support the tournament technically.

Since 2074, Gauriganga-11 Sports Club has been working for the development of sports and football and for the development of professional players and players, the development of village players' abilities and the intention of young people to participate in sports as well as for the development of the football field.
