New Road Team (NRT) has entered final of 6th Makwanpur gold cup football tournament.

NRT defeated Rara FC in sudden death on Wednesday at gauritar stadiumt to enter final.

Both teams played 0-0 draw in regulation time before inviting a spot kick battle.

Player of the match, GK Priso blocked the kick of Sishir Lekhi in sudden death, after a marathon battle. Mohit Gurung then converted the decisive kick into the goal.

NRT has at least secured 10 lakh by entering the final.

In the second semifinal match on Thursday, Bagmati club will take on Nepal APF FC.

Makwanpur DFA is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of NRs 15 lakh. Runners up team will get NRs 10 lakh.
