Hosts Sampurna Youth Club, Supauli has entered final of Dim Bahadur Gurung Memorial 2nd Sampurna Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament.
In the second semi-final held on Friday, Sampoorna defeated Sanjivani Yuva Club, Bagdhura 3-1 to reach the title. Captain Rohit Pun, Sant Gurung and Alice Magar scored goals for Sampurna in the match at Tilottama-14. Ajit Lama scored for the defeated Sanjivani.
Abhishek Mahato of host Sampurna was declared man of the match. He received 1000 cash and a trophy as an award. Now the host Sampurna will face Jharna Sports Club, Kunjalapur for the title in the final on Sunday 24th November.
The winner of the competition sponsored by Gurung and his daughter Shrimaya Gurung will receive a cash prize of 1,11,111 rupees, while the runner-up will receive a trophy and medal along with 55,555 rupees, financial coordinator Tara KC informed.
Financial coordinator KC said that attractive prizes have been arranged for individual categories as well. A total of 16 teams participated in the tournament organized by Sampurna Youth Club, Tilottama-14, Supauli.
