Sunrise knockout football championship got underway at Kobek, Terathum on Friday.

Two matches were played in the opening day.

In the first match, TSS defeated Sunrise yuwa club B on penalties while Sansari FC defeated Sapla Veterans Myanglung in sudden death in the second match.

Sunrise yuwa club is organizing the championship in which 19 teams are taking part in the event.

The champions will get NRs 1,21,000.
