
Makwanpur (GoalNepal) - The fifth Bagmati Gold Cup football tournament organized by Bagmati Rural Municipality of Makwanpur is going to start on the 22nd of Poush. On Friday, the meeting of the Sports Development Committee of Bagmati Rural Municipality decided the date of the fifth edition of the competition.
Bagmati rural municipality has allocated a budget of 35 lakh rupees for organizing the competition. Tikalal Shrestha, chairman of Bagmati Rural Municipality Sports Development Committee, informed that the competition, which is estimated to cost 65 lakh to 70 lakh rupees, will be collected through sponsors and advertisements.
The winners of the competition will receive a shield, medal and certificate along with cash of eight lakh rupees, while the runners-up will receive four lakh rupees.
Chairman Shrestha said that the ground preparation has begun with the announcement of the competition's date. A Division clubs along with the organizers, will participate in the tournament, which will be held at the playground of Janata Mavi located in Bagmati-8, Phaparbari.
The title of the fourth edition was won by the 'A' division club Three Star. Sarkesh Ghalan, Chairman of the Village Sports Development Committee and Chairman of the Village Sports Development Committee, Sarkesh Ghalan and Vice Chairman Fanindra Timalsina were also present at the meeting of the Village Sports Development Committee on Friday.
