APF Football Club have entered the final of the ongoing Isuzu Chitwan Gold Cup International Invitational Football Tournament after defeating contenders Manang FC in the first semifinal on Friday.
APF beat Manang1-0 in the first semi-final held at Campachaur in Narayangadh on Friday and came close to the title. The only goal scored by Hari Karki in the tenth minute of the second half became decisive for APF to reach the final.
Towards the end of the game, Pujan Uparkoti received a red card and Manang were reduced to ten players.
APF's Sanish Shrestha was declared the player of the match. He received Rs. 10,000 cash and a trophy as an award.
According to Dhruba Bhushal, the second semi-final match of the tournament will be played between another contender team, Tribhuwan Army Football Club, Kathmandu, and Avenir FC, Cameroon, on Saturday, Ashoj 1st.
The tournament winners organized by KBA Global Bharatpur FC, Chitwan, will get a cash prize of Rs. 7,00,000 and the runners-up will receive Rs. 3,50,000. The final match will be held on Ashoj 3rd.
