News Sri Lanka's Home Support Will Help Them: U17 NT Coach Urjan Shrestha

Nepal U-17 National Team will face Sri Lanka in Monday's second semifinal of the SAFF U-17 championship. Head coach Urjan Shrestha said Sri Lanka's home support will boost them ahead of the semifinal match between the sides. However, he says that the Nepali side is ready and has prepared well.

Talking before the semifinal match-up, Shrestha said, "Preparations have been good. We had a good training session today. Captain Prashant is also back from injury, he's getting better. Let's see how his recovery will get to tomorrow."

Urjan also added that the spirits in the camp are high after a comeback win against India in the final group match. "The confidence in the squad is high after the win against India", said Shrestha. Nepal defeated India 3-1 to finish as the group winners after coming back from a 1-0 deficit.

The match between Nepal and Sri Lanka will kick off at 8:00 PM local time. India will face Bangladesh in the first semifinal in the afternoon.

Sri Lanka is hosting the tournament, with six nations participating in it. Bhutan and Maldives are already out of the group stages after losing both of their matches respectively.
