News MATCHDAY: Nepal vs India, SAFF U-17 Championship

Nepal U17 will play against India U17 in their second match of the SAFF U17 championship today in Colombo. The match will begin at 3:30 PM local time at the Racecourse Stadium in Colombo.

Nepal and India; both are on three points in group A and have already made it into the semifinals. India defeated Bhutan 3-0 on the opening day while Nepal saw off Bhutan 2-1 on last matchday.

India are at the top thanks to a superior goal difference. A win for Nepal today will make sure Nepal finish first in the group and face either of Maldives and Sri Lanka. But a tough test against Bangladesh will await Nepal if India manage to avoid defeat.

Nepal are in Group 'B'. India and Bhutan are in Nepal's group. 

Group 'A' consists of hosts Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bangladesh. Bangladesh have already made it into the semifinals as group winners with two wins from two. Maldives and Sri Lanka are set to face later today. The winner of the match will finish second in the group and will make it into the final four.

Six South Asian sides are competing for the title in Sri Lanka.
