News Makwanpur: Hosts Nagswoti Win The Nagswoti Veterans Running Shield

Nagaswoti Veterans A, the organizers of the Nagaswoti Veterans Cup 8A Side Running Shield National Football Tournament, which was held on Wednesday, habe succeeded in winning the title. Nagaswoti, the organizers, defeated Thamel Chiya Pub Veterans, Kathmandu 2-1 in the final to be crowned champions.

Rajkumar Ghising and Rajkumar KC scored in the hosts' victory. Narakumar Rai scored a goal for the defeated Thamel. Rajkumar Ghising of Nagaswoti, was chosen as the player of the match. 

In the individual categories,Dilip Chhetri became the best goalkeeper while Bhim Shrestha became the best defender. Lakshmi Yakkha of Thamel Chiya Pub was named the best midfielder and Bikarna Shrestha of the organizers was named the best forward.

Bharat Titung was also declared the best coach by the organizers. All those who excelled in the category received Rs. 10,000 each. Similarly, Rajkumar Ghising of Nagaswoti, the organizers, became the best player of the tournament. He received Rs. 50,000 cash sponsored by Hetauda School of Management.

Nagaswoti Veterans Club, who became the winners, received two lakh one thousand rupees in cash along with the title, while the runners-up, Thamel Chiya Pub, settled for one lakh one thousand rupees.
