Hosts Bandevi Youth Club, Kailali have qualified for the semi-finals of the first National Chief Minister BYC Women's Gold Cup Football Tournament.
Bandevi defeated Kalika Sports Academy, Chitwan 2-0 in the match held at Dhangadhi Stadium to advance to the final four.
Chandra Bhandari scored two goals for Bandevi in the sixth and 89th minutes to take her team forward in the tournament.
Chandra was also named the player of the match and received Rs. 5,000. Bandevi will now face Nepal Police Club in the semi-finals.
Eight teams including three departmental teams are participating in the competition. The winners will get Rs 5,00,000 in cash including trophy and the runners-up will get Rs 2,50,000 including trophy.
Similarly, the best player of various categories will get Rs 10,000 and the best player of the competition will get Rs 50,000 in cash, said Susan Joshi, president of the organizing club.
