All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has named Bal Gopal Maharjan as the head coach of Nepal U23 team.

Former national team coach, Maharjan will lead the team to AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifiers that Tajikistan is hosting in October.

Meanwhile, Rojit KC has been appointed the assistant coach and Lalit Chand as a goalkeeping coach.

Nepal is grouped with Iran, Lebanon and Tajikistan.

Nepal will play its first match against Iran on October 25 and second against hosts Tajikistan on October 28. Nepal's final match will be against Lebanon on October 31.

All the matches will be played at Republican Central Stadium in Dushanbe.
