Nepal head coach Almutairi surprisingly omitted NSL winning players - who were regulars in national team - in 32-man preliminary squad for upcoming Iraq friendly and for FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Players like Chirring Gurung, Sanjok Rai*, Tej Tamang*, Bikesh Kuthu (GK) and Biswas Shrestha (Emerging player of NSL) were omitted. Tridev Gurung*, who played vital role in guiding Nepal to tri-nation cup is also not included in the team.
