News Nepal APF Makes A Great Come Back To Enter SFs Of 5th Rajarshi Janak Cup

Nepal APF has entered semifinals of 5th Rajarshi Janak cup football tournament.

Armed men came back from three goal down to beat Central College Bharatpur FC 4-2 on penalties at Bagmati, Sarlahi on Sunday.

Central College BFC were ready to celebrate the victory but Aashish Lama spoilt their party by scoring two goals in two minutes of added time.

Santa Gurung (4'), Ranjit Ale (44') and Nawaraj Gurung scored apiece for Bharatpur based club. In the second half, Pradip Lama scored one in 72nd minute and Aashish Lama scored twice in the last four minutes to level the score.

Sudip Sikhrakar, Pradip Lama, Aashish Lama and Rabi Thing converted their kicks for APF. Kshitiz Raj and Umesh Karki scored but Anzal Gurung and Ranjit Ale squandered their kicks.

Aashish Lama became the player of the match and received NRs 10,000 cash plus trophy. Club VP Umesh Baniya gave away the prizes to Lama. Club's general secretary Sagar Mainali gave away Khalti exciting fan of the match to Sushant. He received Nrs 2,000 cash.

Hosts Bagmati club will play against Kanchanjunga FC, West Bengal on Monday.
